Cold Coffee

It took me some time to get back on track after some massive changes in personal life within the past two years. I moved, had to built me a new home. But the need to make music, came back soon. And so I’m happy to release another song into the world.

„COLD COFFE“ is a solemn track processing changes in private life. Things come to an end, emotions cool off. But „a magic dwells in each beginning“ (Hermann Hesse) and a big loss may provide some breeding ground for something much bigger and more beautiful.

Whenever I finish a song, I start thinking about a video. Usually I begin with collecting snippets and shots and hope for an idea to pop up. This winter had a nice entrance and as soon I see snow, I have to get out in the woods. So it came clear I wanted to work with landscape- and droneshots but I also needed a connection to the song and the lyrics. I had this picture of the outside-world, beautiful, sometimes harsh and the inside-world, with some dark, hidden secrets. I decided to film in the attic of our house.

Actress Theresa Fröhlich gave the story a second face.

Release: March 1st 2024

Phobos, Deimos, Whatever

feat. Alexander Lausch & Martin Peichl

This is our anthem to all spacenerds, sciencegeeks, spacerockers, astronomyfans and everybody else who appreciates an epic guitar-tune.

Featuring musician and soundengineer Alexander Lausch on guitars/vocals and awarded writer Martin Peichl on mission control radio, Phobos, Deimos, Whatever puts you in the pilot’s seat of a space-racer performing several sling-shot-manoeuvres.

It follows the foot steps of space- and math rockers like Failure, Shiner and adds a modern, timeless touch of bands like Thrice and Lower than Atlantis. It’s heavy, energetic, epic!

Release: March 4th 2022

To Let Go feat. Alexander Lausch

NEW SINGLE OUT NOW!

This week’s become years
How many days would make a difference
Trippin and slippin and already sold
Our need to let go
Evolves a web a out of consciousness to cautiousness

Klawuta’s third single is rooting in a lonely 2-week-stay in an alpine hut, where Matthias wrote the lyrics for this track and later returned to studio to create a song around these words about letting go and taking change as a chance to evolve and move forward.

Friend and soundguy Alexander Lausch added his stunning vocals to this ambitious and epic track. Friend and author Martin Peichl joined for some acting and freezing in the video that was made in the Upper Austrian mountains.

Overestimated

Expectations and (mis)conseptions can easily blur your view and mind. That’s one of the things I learned from being a father.

What’s the value of adventures If you don’t share them. I made some pretty fiery experiences in the past four years rooting in becoming a daddy. I packed some of my thoughts into this song calles „Overestimated“ and I’d like to share it with you. It’s sung in two languages. It feels like my brain is sometimes speaking in different languages. So this somehow makes sense.

There are two Bonus-versions of the song, that will be only available on Bandcamp, so go there to claim your free copy!

SWEAR feat. Jonah Matranga

Jonah has definitely been a big influence to my musical evolution. He's been part of bands like FAR, NEW END ORIGINAL, GRATITUDE, ONELINEDRAWING and more. I once met him, playing a stunning solo-show in Vienna back in 2008. I dreamt of doing a collaboration for over a decade. Now this finally came true. SWEAR is a song about special times and events. It's about being human.
